Building on a relevant first professional qualification, the Master's degree programme imparts further knowledge in several sub-areas of mathematics within the framework of a broad range of compulsory electives and introduces students to current research in a specialisation area. In addition, the programme is designed to enable students to independently solve complex mathematical problems using scientific methods. The mathematics education is supplemented by the study of an applied subject. By choosing one of the fields of study mathematics, computer mathematics, techno-mathematics or business mathematics, students have the opportunity to set focal points in terms of content.
