We are tidying up our website
We are at the start of a major project: the restructuring of our website. You may already have heard about it, or the information might be completely new to you. We would like to tell you about the project in this email so that you know what is happening when, who is involved, how we are going about it and to whom you can turn if you have any questions. Why is the website being overhauled?Over the years our website has become somewhat cumbersome. More and more content has been added to it and it has grown in an unstructured way. Also, due to a lack of alternatives, internal communications have been published on the public website. We now plan to tidy up the website and place the focus on external target groups. Potential students and staff, cooperation partners and funding bodies should be able to find exactly the information that they need - and in the right place. However this does not mean that the internal information will be lost in the wake of the overhaul - in future you will be able to find it in the staff portal. If you would like to know more about the aims, you can visit our project landing page. What exactly is going to happen? The focus of the project lies on the content and structure of the website - these will be improved. To do so, we will draw up a precise description of the target groups and the content that they would like to see. Supported by an agency, we will use this knowledge to improve the menu structure and content. The egotech CMS system and corporate design will stay the same. We will make visual adjustments where necessary. You can find a roadmap on the landing page for the project. Who is working on the project? The project managers are:
In addition, we will be supported through the process by an Agency. We will announce which one this will be on the landing page once the bidding process has been completed. When will it all begin? The kick-off with the respective contacts for the external target groups will happen in Februrary 2024. The substantive work is to start immediately afterwards. If you would like to know more about the timetable and individual stages in the process, visit our project landing page. Want to stay up to date?If an important milestone is reached we will let everyone know in our staff newsletter, uni:intern, about the current status of the project. And we will also regularly update the project landing page – so it is worth checking it out every now and then. You can also submit Questions & Feedback on this page. We look forward to receiving your suggestions! Until we roll up our sleeves in the new year, we wish you a peaceful and enjoyable run-up to Christmas! Warmest regards from the entire project team |
