The Erasmus+ Programme

The Erasmus+ programme, one of the European Union's greatest success stories, has funded the cross-border mobility of students, university lecturers and university staff in Europe since 1987. Currently, the OVGU maintains almost 200 Erasmus+ bilateral agreements with different European universities. The agreements are subject specific and set out the number of exchange students and possible duration of the exchange. The International Office is responsible for the coordination of the the Erasmus+ programme across all faculties.

ERASMUS+ Call for „Blended Intensive Programmes“ (BIP)

Within the framework of the new ERASMUS+ programme period, universitites can apply for funding for so-called Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP). These programmes are structured as follows:

  • aim: development of short, intensive joint mobility curricula and activities
  • short physical group mobility (5-30 days) in combination with virtual components (the duration of this phase is not specified but the virtual components are mandatory)
  • participants: students, doctoral candidates, university staff
  • prerequisites: minimum of 3 participating higher education institutions from 3 different programme countries with at least 15 participants and a minimum of 3 ECTS granted to students
