Study Groups' Visits

2015 Summer school trip to Weimar and the Harz

Participants in the Summer School in Magdeburg went to see the city of Weimar, where they visited the famous Anna-Amalia-Library and the Goethe-house. In addition to many other activities they made an excursion to the town of Thale in the Harz mountain range, where they attended an opera, visited the "Rosstrappe" and "Hexentanzplatz" and did some bob sliding.

2015 Trip to tthe Harz with IAESTE students

Students of IAESTE (International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience) visited the town of Thale in the low mountain range Harz.

2014/15 DAAD Programme for Young Engineers from Mexico and Colombia

For two semesters (one practical semester and one academic semester) the OvGU was happy to welcome a group of students from Mexico and Colombia.

2015 | Le Havre

A student group of „Institut universitaire de technologie du Havre“ (IUT), France, visited the OvGU in February. The 13 Marketing students informed themselves about the international MBA programmes and the University in general.

Moreover the students took a tour through the town hall and met the mayor of Magdeburg, Lutz Trümper.

2014 | Le Havre, Xiamen, Incheon

Between July 01 and 10 2014 the University of Magdeburg was visited by students of University of Le Havre, France, University Xiamen, China and the University INHA - Incheon, South Corea. The visit took place in the context of the Global MBA in Supply Chain Management program (Exchange programm initiated by the GU8-Consortium to enhance student`s knowledge in the fields of Trade, Logistics and Shipping).

2013/14 DAAD Programme for Young Engineers from Mexico and Colombia

2014 | Armenia (Quindío)

The students of the Colombian Corporación Universitaria Empresarial Alexander von Humboldt visited OVGU from 6 to 7 May as part of a DAAD educational trip.

2014 | Bogotá

The students of the Colombian Universidad Nacional de Colombia visited OVGU from 7 to 9 April as part of a DAAD educational trip.

2014 | Le Havre

The students of Université du Havre from our French partner city visited OVGU from 10 to 12 February.
